The Norland Diploma

The Norland Diploma is unique to Norland College. All students, whether studying on the BA (Hons) or DCE course, will spend some of their time at college working towards this prestigious qualification.

The additional requirements of the Norland Diploma include demonstrating competence in practical classes and obtaining food hygiene and first aid certificates. They must also satisfactorily complete each of their practical placements and their probationary post.

Probationary Post

After successfully completing their two years at Norland College, students undertake a year long probationary post as a nanny. Probationary posts are arranged by the Norland Agency (based at the college). On successful completion of the probationary year and with a satisfactory report from their employer, students officially graduate with the Norland Diploma.
