Norland Joins the Flock
by Abby Searle
Norland has joined in with the art project Join the Flock www.jointheflock.co.uk by creating their very own, customised flock of sheep with Norland hats on!
Students and staff will be creating their own herd of Norland sheep to help towards the target of 5000.
Students are also planning on taking this project with them to their placements to see if the children can help as well.
Norland have decided to make this into a charitable activity with all proceeds going to NICO.

Students at Norland College and the children at Norland Nursery have been doing their bit to raise money for Children in Need this week.
The nursery have been wearing their spots and hosting a cake sale all week so that all of the children get a chance to be involved and today they will also be playing all different types of Pudsey games.
The students at Norland College are wearing their pyjamas today, quite a difference from their usual formal uniforms, to show their support and have also been busy baking for the cake sale today.

by Rebekah Frankcom
You will soon see children from Norland Nursery enjoying Forest School activities on a private piece of local woodland! Norland Nursery already uses Forest School principles in its outdoor space but this will further extend the outdoor experience we can regularly offer to our children. In preparation for the opening our nursery staff will participate in Forest School training to ensure that the children are provided with a full forest school experience.
We are aiming to start taking children from the nursery to the Norland Forest School in January 2012, but we also have lots of other ideas and plans – watch this space for more information!
There are so many exciting things planned for this woodland space including installing a tipi, like the one below.
