A fantastic start to the new term at Norland College!
Our first years arrived at Norland to start their degree courses on Wednesday - so smartly dressed and understandably a bundle of nerves and excitement.
The first week of the students’ induction has already covered so much: from learning self-defence (by a Tae Kwon-Do trained black belt instructor) to an introduction to the Norland Code of Professional Responsibilities. The students have had to absorb a vast amount of information and are coping amazingly! The second week of induction will include talks on food hygiene, confidentiality and using the college library.
Yesterday evening, a Hog Roast in the college gardens provided a lovely opportunity for all the students and staff to get to know each other a little better.
The beginning of the college year is always busy – but this one more so than most. Michael Kenny is the first man to study on our degree course, the BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies (Norland) and, not surprisingly, has been receiving a lot of press attention!
