Early Years Consultant

Salary: £31,973 - £34,682

We require an Early Years Consultant to support the work of the Research, Consultancy and Training department, to write and deliver comprehensive and bespoke training/consultancy for both external clients and Norland graduates as part of the CPD programme. The post holder will also be responsible for the planning and delivery of external training as appropriate with the possibility of overseas travel.

You will hold at least a Level 3 Early Years qualification but preferable have a relevant degree along with a strong CPD record. It is essential that you have extensive post qualifying experience of writing and delivering Early Years training as well as the practical experience of working with young children, babies and families. A teaching qualification would be desirable although training will be provided. Being flexible in your approach to working over the weekend or unsociable hours is essential. Highly effective communication skills are also essential for the role.

Agency Consultant (maternity cover)

Salary: £25,578 - £27,822

For 125 years Norland College has been training students to become the very best nannies and childcare practitioners. Together with Norland Agency, the in-house employment agency, Norland provides students with a unique route from training to life-long employment working with children. The Norland Agency, which only works with Norland graduates, places Norlanders with families in the UK and all over the world. The Agency staff also provide an ongoing link with the college, continuing to guide and support Norland graduates throughout their working life.  We are currently looking to appoint an Agency Consultant to cover maternity leave within this busy and dynamic team. 

As the successful candidate, you will liaise with Norland graduates and Agency clients to ensure that the best match is made for both parties and that Norland’s reputation for excellence is upheld.  You will work within a team of four contributing towards achieving the department targets whilst maintaining a high level of professional customer service. 

If you are highly motivated, able to work on your own initiative, maintain confidentiality and experienced in using Microsoft Office, you may be the person we are seeking.

Placement Manager (16 month fixed term contract)

Students at Norland College study a unique combination of the BA (Hons) Early Years Development and Learning degree programme together with the Norland Diploma, a practical based course consisting of modules in Play & Learning, Care & Wellbeing and Food & Nutrition. 

With a significant growth in our student numbers we are looking to appoint a full time Placement Manager, on a 12 month fixed term basis, to manage the Placement Team and to provide placement support for students studying at Norland College. This post holder will secure and maintain quality placements across age range of 0-8 years, whilst also visiting and assessing students within settings. There is the requirement for this post holder to travel to London on a regular basis.

You must hold a degree in a relevant discipline as well as a professional early years qualification. You must have recent and relevant experience working with babies and families. Experience of teaching and working within the higher education sector would be desirable.
