Career Opportunities

Norlanders enjoy an unparalleled reputation around the world for true professionalism and a love of children. During their course, students are given guidance by staff to identify the most suitable areas for career development.
These are just some of the opportunities available:
- For your first placement and throughout your career you can use the Norland Agency to be placed in a job as a nanny, maternity nurse, proxy parent or nursery nurse anywhere in the world (first year placement must be in the UK).
- Alternatively you might choose to be a pre-school leader, a hospital playworker (with further training), a crèche leader or a childminder.
- You can use your qualifications to set up a business working with children - all you need to do is find an opportunity and the world is your oyster!
- Following the BA (Hons) course at Norland College you could go on to study for a further qualification such as the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) which would qualify you to work as a Primary School Teacher. Alternatively you could apply to gain Early Years Professional Status (EYPS).
- With 360 UCAS points from the CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education you could apply for a place on a degree course (subject to university entry requirements).
