EMA is a weekly payment of up to £30 paid directly to young people who stay on in further education after the end of compulsory schooling. Young people may also receive bonuses if they remain on their course and make good progress with their learning. Entitlement to EMA depends on an assessment of household income.

Emily Ward Bursaries (Norland College)
The bursary named after the college founder provides students with the opportunity of obtaining a discount on the basic tuition fee. The award of a bursary is means-tested and therefore dependent on the completion of a financial statement, which is presented to the bursary committee. The closing date for applications is 28 February each year and students are notified as soon as possible after a decision has been made. It should be noted that there are only a limited number of bursaries available each year.
Please contact us for a bursary application form.
